Determine whether these locations are the best locations for mitigation
projects. Develop a map and accompanying text descriptions of the locations for
monitoring and the locations for mitigation.

Development of DisplaylEducational Materials

1) Review of historic aerial photographs (ADD-ON OR DROP-OFF)
Review historic aerial photographs of the Roaring Fork River from various
sources, Determine what changes are clemonstrated by those photographs.
Develop displays using the photographs to illustrate trends and relationships on
the river.

2) Computer modeling of effects of stream stability mitigation measures
(ADD-ON OR DROP-OFF)
Represent on a computer model the predicted effects of various stream stability
mitigation measures. Include modeling of the "after-flood" floodplain to
demonstrate how the mitigation measures and the stream channel they are
designed to protect fare in a 1 DO-year Or 500-year flood.

3) Graphic demonstration of flow in river (ADD-ON OR DROP-OFF)
Develop a display of the amount of water in the Roaring Fork River under low
flow conditions.
