Presently, the State and its counties, cities and towns have <br />very limited 100- year floodplain information on the South Platte River downstream of Denver. <br /> <br />Request <br />The Staff requests that the Board consider funding $ 192,500 for the performance of the additional <br />four study tasks listed above for the Chatfield Reservoir Reallocation Study that is investigating the <br />feasibility to develop water supply storage in the reservoir and develop new 100-year floodplain <br />information. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Board request the Colorado General Assembly to fund $192,500 from the <br />Construction Fund to be appropriated to the Colorado Water Conservation Board to be expended for <br />the Chatfield Reallocation Study. <br /> <br />L:\sectionfolders\seca\board meetingslnovember 2001\agenda item 24g - chatfield reservoir reallocation study.doc <br /> <br />Flood Protection .
