MOSES:

"Mr. Crabtree, is that being considered7'

"We feel that we are through with the
O'Neal Park Project report as it stands today,
unless the State of Colorado requests a re-
investigation."

"Mr. Chairman as a matter of policy in
connection with all proposed projects in the
State of Colorado, I am not entirely satisfied
with the criteria the Bureau of Reclamation uses
to establish feasibility of some of these pro-
jects. Also I am not satisfied with the criteria
the Department of Agriculture uses to establish
economic feasibility of some of these projects.
I think that as we go along, we will find those
proj ects that were perhaps turned down, are now
becoming more attractive and I would like to
suggest that the State of Colorado place these
projects not out of existence but perhaps down
on the list of priorities so they can be brought
up at a later date."

"I feel sure, Pete, that that is certainly
our intention. We don't want, after we once
hear of a project, to let it go or let go of it.
We ought to keep the door open."

"I would like to remark that that is why
O'Neal Park was put on the bottom of the south-
west list."

"May I ask this of Lew Williams - do you
have any objections to the present condition of
not making preliminary investigations on it until
it is determined whether or not further suggestions
should be made? I would rather leave that up
to the people in this area."

MR. LEW WILLIAMS: "Mr. Chairman, can you let us know? We
want to know what the local people want us to
do. Dulce is in New Mexico. The O'Neal Park
is all in Colorado. We get into that water
division deal there."

MR. MOSES: "I promised Mr. Barkley he could have a
few minutes before lunch. I haven't forgotten
him. We will take up next then, unless there
is something further someone wishes to say,
item 4 on the agenda."

I

I
