.

"

remotely transmitted to, and registered in, the office of the

Reservoe
from stage-

Superintendent. The river discharge will then be determined

discharge rating tables furnished by the State Engineer. To assure
that the stage-discharge relation'ship 1s kept current, the State Engineer

will obtain the results of State, U. S. Geological Survey, and Corps of
Engineers discharge maasurements each week and fUrnish to the Reservoir

Superintendent the appropriate "gage shiftll to be applied to the baSic

rating table to obtain the current discharge amount. This IIgage shift"

will be furnished to the Reservoii' Superintendent weekly on Monday
morning and such shift shall be simultaneously utilized by all parties
in computing reservoir outflow un1ess a new shift is computed by the
State Engineer during the week and furnished to the Reservoir Superin-
tendent. This wil1 insure that all parties will determine the sarnee
river flow value at all times, irrespective of variations between

measurements by different parties at different times. However, when

this gaging station is not operational, the release will be determined

,by outlet ratings correlated with stream discharge measurements below

the dam.

(2) Outflow to Canals. Appropriate rating flumes and recorders

have been installed in each of the canals immediately below the supply

penstock terminal control valves wqereby the canal flow may be measured
and recorded. Waseeways installed ,upstream of these flumes in each
ditch during the cons truction phase will be removed by the Government

prior to placing the permanent supply system in operation.

The State

-5-

e
