Create a venue for updating the plan on an annual9r as-needed basis, and design the plan to <br />meet Colorado's Map Modernization Needs ($36 ~illion total need identified at this time) <br /> <br />The CWCB's effort to complete theBCP will help to ensure Colorado's good standing with FEMA <br />and will help Colorado to receive its share of federal grant dollars in the future. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board endorse continued activities by staff on the following matters: 1) Partner <br />with PEMA, the Urban Drainage and Plood Control District, and Local Governments to achieve map <br />modernization goals, 2) Notify and meet with top priority :communities in Colorado to discuss and scope <br />mapping activities within specific counties, 3) Receive grajlt funding from PEMA through various federal <br />programs and to match those federal funds. with State and Local funds as needed, 4) Develop funding <br />needs for Fiscal Year '04 and present those needs to the Board and PEMA, at its November 2003 <br />meeting, for a possible non-reimbursable request from the CWCB Construction Fund. <br /> <br />~-'--"" ,. <br />.__._>-__,,_ C-", <br /> <br />Flood Protection.
