absence was very kind in saying that he didn't want to discuss this
matter unless you had an equal opportunity. So I would like
Mr. Balcomb to have an equal opportunity to comment on what. you
think the timeliness of this would be.

i,
Mr; Balcomb: You mean at a next board meeting?

I

Mi: Stapleton: Yes. Whether we ought to be working on it from three
thirty until seven o'clock at night, or you know. What do you think
the time schedule is so that we can get this resolved?

Mr. Balcomb: I don't think it is going to corne up before the House
very soon. And number two, it is kind of personal to me, I have a
car at the Denver airport and would like to go back before dark.

.Mr: Stapleton: I wish I had those problems: I really would:

Mr. Geissinqer: Mr. Chairman, I sugqest in view of the situation
here today and the fact that all these people haven't had the oppor-
tunity to present their position, that this matter be continued to
the next regular board meeting.

Mr. Stapleton: Is there a second to that?

Mr. Berthelson: I second the motion.

Mr. 'Stapleton: Okay. Let's have some discussion on that in terms
of when would the next regularly scheduled meeting be? Very frankly,
I'think there is enough interest in it and I have enough interest,
that we ought to spend a whole day on it. When could we have that,
,'say in October?

Mr. Ford: How about the 20th of September?

Mr. Stapleton: Somebody has suggested the 20th of September. How
about the first Wednesday? We usually have these meetings on
':'Wednesday, if we can. How about either the 3rd or the lOth of October?

Mr. Sparks: I forgot to bring my calendar over. We were going to
try to schedule our next meeting in October because we had hoped to
discuss some other matters, including policy for small project con-
struction.

I

Mr. Brannan: I have a calendar which is of some interest to the
Chairman. I think the Colorado Bar starts on the 10th.

Mr. Stapleton: I can miss that.

-26-
