PETERSON: <br /> <br />.J/t:J/ <br /> <br />On the litigation under Civil Actions Nos. <br />2782, 5016, and 5017, we have been very active <br />on that in working out possible means of com- <br />promise and clarifying the issues that are <br />involved in the case, and so forth. We held <br />a meeting On the 28th of January in Glenwood <br />Springs to discuss the thing with western slope <br />people. This meeting was called and conducted <br />by the Department of Justice people from Wash- <br />ington. \We held a meeting the following day <br />here in Denver with the interests here. The <br />Department of Justice is working on the matter <br />and we are furnishing advice and information <br />to them. I have no definite report to make on <br />the progress, other than that progress is being <br />made. <br /> <br />The annual operating plan for the Western <br />Division of the power systems was contingent <br />upon some determinations in the matter of fish <br />releases, and so forth, below the Kortes Dam <br />in the North Platte River in Wyoming and those <br />issues have been settled and that annual oper- <br />ating plan which effects all of the Platte <br />drainage - the South Platte drainage - and the <br />operation of Green Mountain Powerplant, as well <br />as the matters in Wyoming, has been put in final <br />form; is at the printers; and will be issued <br />very shortly. We hope if not yet this week <br />then by the very first part of next week. <br />That full report will be out for review by all <br />the interested parties. <br /> <br />I believe, Mr. Chairman, that completes <br />the report of Region 7." <br /> <br />"Thank you, Jim.
