Walcher <br />Executive Director <br /> <br />Dan McAuliffe <br />eWeB Director <br />(Acting) <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board Members <br /> <br />Mike Serlet, P'E.tMJ <br />Chief, Water Supply Planning and Finance Section <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />November 13, 2000 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Agenda Item #9a, November 20-21, 2000 Board Meeting <br />Water Supply Planning and Finance <br />Policy #14 - Approval and Prioritization of Grant Applications From <br />the Construction Fund and Severance Tax Trust Fund Operational <br />Account <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />At its September 2000 meeting, and at a Construction Fund financial workshop in <br />August, the Board reviewed and made suggested revisions to the attached Policy #14. <br />Staff has revised the policy accordingly, <br /> <br />Discussion <br /> <br />This policy identifies three levels of grant funding; 1) projects of statewide impact <br />or importance, 2) feasibility study grants and demonstration projects that have potential <br />to result in a Construction Fund or Severance Tax Trust Fund Perpetual Base Account <br />loan, and 3) grants for local water planning and CWCB water programs from the <br />Severance Tax Trust Fund Operational Account. <br /> <br />The policy also establishes deadlines for grant applications, creates a finance <br />committee to review the applications for grants of statewide impact, fixes maximum <br />grant amounts for feasibility studies and demonstration projects, limits the type of water <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />NovOO item9aPolicy#14,doc <br />
