<br />b <br />~71 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />MEETING <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />March 19, 1956 <br />Public Utilities Commission Hearing Room <br />330 State Office Building <br />Denver, Colorado <br /> <br />Mr. Crawford called for nominations for temporary <br />chairman in the absence of the chairman and <br />vice-ch~irman. Mr. Pughe was nominated. The <br />nomination was seconded and he was unanimously <br />elected. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 9:30 A. M. by <br />Acting Chairman, George A. Pughe. <br /> <br />1. Minutes of Meetinq of January 11, 1956 <br /> <br />MR. PUGHE: "I presume we should start with the first <br />part of the agenda. The minutes have <br />been distributed and we are prepared <br />to receive suggestions or corrections." <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />MR. CRAWFORD: "Copies have been sent out and one correction <br />requested. Mr. Chilson as~ed that the <br />second paragraph of the resolution on <br />page 20, be corrected to read, 'WHEREAS <br />the State of ~olorado has denied and <br />does deny such claim; and'." <br /> <br />MR. PUGHE: "Are there any objections to the amended <br />copy of the minutes?" <br /> <br />MR. CRAWFORD: "I move the minutes be approved." <br /> <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Kelly and on vote <br />being taken, was carried unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />MR. PUGHE: "If there are no further questions, we <br />will go to the next item on the a~enda." <br /> <br />2. Report on Arizona v. California--by Mr. Chilson <br /> <br />~m. CHIIBON: <br /> <br />"Let me take just a minute and review what <br />happened after the hearings in Phoenix. I <br />reported to the Board that the matter of <br />the Upper States in this litigation was then <br />before the lfaster and we discussed what <br />Colorado shoulcV:JOfirst, in case we were <br />included in the suit, and second, if we were <br />not included in the suit. <br />
