Breitenstein, attorney for the Colore.do Water Conservation <br />Board, was called upon to make a report oonoerning the status of interstate <br />litigation involving the Arkansas and North Platte rivers. Mr. Breitenstein <br />made a oomplete report on the status of this litigation, explaining the nature <br />and amount of work whioh yet rems.ined te be aooomplished. before a decision <br />could be had in the 'Supreme Court of the United States. <br /> <br />Thereupon Direotor Stone made a report concerning the status of the <br />negotiations for a oompact <>n the Costilla River betweElll Colorado and New <br />Mexico. He explained that it was impossible to arrive at an adjustment of <br />the problems involved on that river in time to submit a llClmpaot for ratifi- <br />oation of the Colorado Legislature at its last session. He expressed the <br />belief that a oompact would be negotiated end re"dy for -.tifioaticn of the <br />next General Assembly of the State. <br /> <br />The minutes of the meeting of the Board of Deoember 22-23, 1942 were <br />then submitted for approval. Dr. Nelson suggested that a cerreotion should <br />be made in the seoond paragraph @B the bottom of page 138 of the official <br />minutes to read as followSI <br /> <br />"Governor Ralph L.
