At the CWCB November 20-21,2000 meeting, Staff provided the Board with an overview ofthe
CWCB Flood Emergency Response Fund. In the Staff memorandum dated November 7,2000,
the Objective, Discussion, and Recommendation were provided to the Board regarding the fund.
AII of these remain unchanged.

ReQuest
The Staff requests that the Board consider the fWld proposal as presented at the November 2000
meeting. The fund amount is $150,000, which will be appropriated from the 5% Flood Control
allocation in the CWCB Construction Fund.

Recommendation
Staffrecommends that the Board request the General Assembly to authorize up to $150,000 from
the Construction FWld to be appropriated to the Department of Natural Resources for allocation
to the CWCB for the creation of a Flood Emergency Response Fund.
