864

I wrote back, after inquiry of the
Bureau of Reclamation and the City of
Denver, that we were not in a position
to say that it would not be used for
storage purposes sometime in the future.
The Corps of Engineers say there will be
85,000 acre feet of storage available and
we don't know but what that may be called
for in the future. .

I

Aurora now wants a letter stating
that we know of no immediate use to which
this may be put. Does the Board wish to
have this letter written?"

MR. The Corps seems agreeable to
retaining that water. I don't know just
what the status of this plan is at the
moment."

MR. CRAWFORD: "It is my understanding that: this
right-of-way starts at above the 10,000
acre-foot level. Are we safe in .saying
there is no immediate storage use except
for the 10,000 acre feet for the Game and
Fish?"

MR. LEW WILLIAMS: "What harm would a right-of-way do?"

MR. PETERSON: "What is the right-of-way for?"
MR. CRAWFORD: "To put pipes under the ground."

MR. SPARKS: "This is the pipeline for ~he pros-
pective Homestake Project."

MR. CRAWFORD:

"Perhaps I should read a paragraph
from the letter received from Mr. Kuiper
City Engineer for Aurora:

'The City of Aurora has requested a righ~
of-way easement across the Cherry Creek

I
