for the proposed wilderness area Merriman also presented a list of issues to consider
in wilderness water determinations and a snmm,,'Y of a meeting with Piedra
landowners and the CWCB subcommittee on the Piedra held April 8, 1992 and hosted
by Ed Toner.

Ed Toner spoke about a meeting he had with Division 7 Engineer Chuck Lile and
answered questions from Smith and Lochhead. Buford Rice spoke about a concern
for setting a precedent for downstream water users. Discussion followed by Merriman,
Harrison, Toner, Lochhead, and Duncan.

17a. Construction Fund, continued. Status of Projects* (12:00 - 12:05 p.m.)

Frank: Akers, CWCB staff, reviewed a memo showing the status of construction fund
projects and the dedication ceremony with David Walker for the South Platte River
boat chute. Additional comments were made by Duncan, Meyring, Martineau, and
Evans. There was consensus that the Board should do more to publicize the Board's
construction fund program.

18a. Floodplain Management Resolution No. 92-314* (12:05 - 12:06 p.m.)

Larry Lang, CWCB staff, introduced Floodplain Resolution No. 92-314 to designate
and approve the Flood Insurance Study published by FEMA for the City of
Broomfield, Colorado, dated August 16, 1988. Much of the floodplain information has
been previously designated and approved by FPR Nos. 66, 144, and 270. This
resolution addresses Gay Reservoir Channel and Brandywine Cree~ A motion was
made by Lochhead and seconded by Smith to adopt Floodplain Resolution No. 92-314.
The motion passed by lIn"nimous (8-0) decision.

18bcd. Floodplain Management Resolution Nos. 92-315, 92-320, and 92-321*
(12:06 - 12:07 p.m.)

Larry Lang introduced Floodplain Resolution No. 92-315 to designate and approve
, floodplain information published by FEMA in a revised Flood Insurance Study dated
September 28, 1990 for the City of Broomfield, Colorado. The 1990 PIS included
revised floodplain information for Nissen Reservoir Channel and Broomfield Reservoir
Tributary which reflects the completion of certain flood control works not included in
FPR No. 92-314.

Lang next introduced Floodplain Resolution No. 92-320 to designate and approve
floodplain information for Van Bibber Creek published by the UD&FCD in February
1986 for the City of Arvada, Colorado.
