<br />This $345,000 project is the construction of a new rural raw water irrigation and distribution
<br />system in La Plata County west of Ignacio. The project consists of construction of a concrete
<br />diversion structure and pump station at the Florida River, a transmission pipeline from the diversion
<br />to a storage impoundment, and construction of approximately 9,000 feet of distribution pipeline
<br />from the storage impoundment to the water users, RMI Environmental Services of Farmington,
<br />New Mexico prepared the project design. Project construction commenced September 2, 1997 by
<br />RMI Environmental Services of Farmington, New Mexico (a design/build contractor), The project
<br />is currently 70% complete and is being re-scheduled for an October 1998 completion due to right-
<br />of-way, permitting, and financial delays,

<br />Conservation Service prepared project design. Project construction commenced September ~, 1997
<br />by K C Equipment and Consulting of Delta, Colorado, Phase I of the project was completed in
<br />December 1997 with the final Phase II scheduled for completion in October 1998, The project is
<br />currently 50% complete,

<br />This $600,000 project involves the abandonment of portions of the Welch Ditch,
<br />construction of a dropout structure on the Welch Ditch, a pipeline from the Agricultural Ditch to
<br />the Welch Ditch, and construction of three lift stations to pump water from the Agricultural Ditch
<br />back to the Welch Ditch at various locations, The need for the project is due to several landslide
<br />areas along the Welch Ditch, which continue to create high maintenance and water deliver;
<br />problems for the company, The project is located in Jefferson County east of Green Mountain.
<br />Mountain States Engineering Associates, mc, of Lakewood prepared the project design, The
<br />pipeline and dropout-structure project commenced construction November 3, 1997 by T, Lowell
<br />Construction, Inc. of Castle Rock, Colorado and was completed in April 1998, The first of three .
<br />pump station projects commenced in early February with the owner acting as the general
<br />contractor, The overall project is approximately 50% complete and scheduled for completion in
<br />November 1998,
