JU'/,4

NR. KROEGER:

NR. BERTHELSON:

NR. CRANDALL:

NR.. I<ROEGER:

NR. GOODWIN:

including our operation and maintenance,- basin
fund \~ork, general investigations, and C&R, was
$21,692,000. The budgeted amount for FY 1968
is almost $14 million in the same categories,
the difference being the decline in early com-
pletion of construction work on the Curecanti
units.

1

Mr. Chairman, that constitutes my report."

"Thank you, Dave. Are there any comments
or questions from the Board? Si."

"Nr. Chairman, I'd like to inquire of !-1r.
Crandall, he mentioned that the Yellow Jacket
report was being delayed, awaiting reports of
other agencies. will you go into any more
detail on that, Dave, as to what you do need
in order to complete this report from these
other agencies? Is it anything unusual?"

"As I am sure most of you are aware, there
are requirements of the resource development
plans that are sponsored by reclamation that
must be coordinated with the interest of other
agencies. It takes a while to formulate the
plan and to get everything settled down to the
point where they in turn can make their contri-
butions. Sometimes the scheduling doesn't work
out right through the projected date that we
had originally anticipated.

I would say this is not unusual. It's
part of the necessity for bringing a rather
complicated process into focus. Sometimes it
takes a little more time than we had hoped for.
I wouldn't lay all the blame on the other
agencies. We still have some of our own work
to do in getting final plans and estimates. We 1
are not far away from getting everything fin-
ished."

"Are there other comments or questions?"

"Fred, I'd like to ask Mr. Crandall a
question or two."
