in so appointing this committee, while the Board
may have the power and the authority to do it,
and to consider this thing, I think from the
standpoint of the furtherance of the project,
such a meeting and such consideration would be
very healthy."

"Thank you, Mr. Barnard. I might add that
if any of the interested groups or persons
present will please give their comments similar
to Mr. Barnard's to Mr. Sparks we will appre-
ciate having them. We are anxious for advice
and counsel so that we may do the best job
possible in getting a committee and program in
procedure that will be helpful to achieve the
ultimate results. I ask that these comments
be sent in as quickly as possible to Mr. Sparks
at his office so that we may begin to plan
immediately in this regard. I think this ends
the discussion for today's meeting on the Nar-
rows Project.

All those in favor, then, of the motion
will signify by saying 'aye'; opposed - the
motion is carried.

We now go to agenda item #4 'Federal Agency
Reports'. Have we received any reports, Larry?"

"I believe Mr. Jennings has one from Region
4. I don't know whether there are any others
or not."

"Mr. Jennings, may we hear from you?"

"Mr. Chairman, members of the Water Board,
I don't know whether any Senators or Congress-
men are still here, and gentlemen, I have here
a report from our regional office covering the
activities of the Bureau of Reclamation, Region
4, in Colorado and immediate adjacent areas. It
is rather comprehensive. If you would like,
Larry, I could read it. I believe it would be
informative and probably give us information
better than an oral discussion. I believe you
all have copies of this.
