<br />The meeting was

<br />Director Stone announced that Governor Lee Knous had appointed
<br />John Beaty of Manzanola as a member of the Board from- the Arkansas Valley, in
<br />place of Miss Vena Pointer of Pueblo, and that Dan B. Hunter, Dove Creek, had
<br />been re-appointed to succeed himself on the Board, from Southwestern Colorado.
<br />The Director said no appointment had been made for the San Luis Valley created
<br />by the resignation of Chris Wallrich, but that Chris Wallrj.ch, although he had
<br />submitted a resignation, it baEl not been accepted by the Governor and he is
<br />still a member of the Board. Both Mr. Beaty and Mr. Hunter had qualified as
<br />Board members by duly filing their official oaths.
<br />
<br />First order of official business was organization of the Boai-d.'
<br />
<br />Mr. Dille nominated George J. Bailey for vice Chairman, s ecohdea
<br />by Glenn Saunders. Mr. Smith moved that nominations be closed and that the'
<br />secretary be directed to cast the unanimous vote of the Board for Mr. Bailey.
<br />Motion seconded. Motion carried and Mr. Bailey was declared unanimouslY .
<br />elected Vice Chairman. . .
