<br />15. Endangered Fish Recovery Instream Flow Protection <br /> <br />l5a. Instream Flow Protection Recommendations from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. <br />Tape 2 Start/Stop 0600 - 6263 <br />Tape 3 Start/Stop 0001 - 0410 <br />Action: A motion was made by David Harrison that the Board direct the staff to proceed with <br />the additional stndies that they need to do, the physical and legal availability <br />in paragraph 3 and paragraph 4 consideration, and authorize them to go <br />ahead with those stndies using the biological opinion that they have now, and <br />not necessarily using the Service's flow recommendations, as the basis for the <br />further stndies. The motion was seconded by Ray Werner, and approved <br />unanimously (10-0). <br /> <br />l5b. Water Availability Analyses for the Yampa River and for the Colorado River <br />(mainstem). <br />Tape 3 Start/Stop 0410 - 11 00 <br />Action: Ray Werner (?) made a motion that the Board go forward with the public release on <br />the drafts on water availability. The motion was seconded by Alan Hamel <br />and approved unanimously (10-0). <br /> <br />(There will be an outline presented at the July Meeting on the steps the Board <br />will be going to take on these issues, including preliminary notice, and these <br />items will be discussed at a Board workshop on the morning of July 5,1995.) <br /> <br />l5c. Yampa River Operation and Management Plan <br />Tape 3 Start/Stop 11 00 - 1422 <br />Action: Alan Hamel made a motion that the Board accept the staff recommendation to adopt <br />the plan with the discussed modifications as listed in the amended MOU. <br />The motion was seconded by Patricia Wells and approved (8-0), with David <br />Smith and Eric Kuhn abstaining from the vote. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />Color ado River Issues <br />Tape 3 Start/Stop <br />Items l6a through l6c were taken together. <br /> <br />4010 - 4447 <br /> <br />l6a.
