MOSES: <br /> <br />A brief general discussion was held concerning this <br /> <br />"Is there anything further to bring be- <br />fore the Board?" <br /> <br />Mr. Sparks reported on his status as Director and <br />asked the members who could to meet with the Civil Service Com- <br />mission at 2:00 P. M. in their office to discuss this matter. <br />He asked if the Board could see its way clear to appoint him <br />Acting Director on a contractual basis at the salary asked on <br />his application. Mr. Moses wondered if it would be wise to <br />take any action on this before the meeting with the Civil Ser- <br />vice Commission. Mr. Miller asked if they could take action <br />and designate the members who could attend the meeting with the <br />Civil Service Commission. <br /> <br />MR. MOSES: <br /> <br />"I will appoint a committee of one to <br />work out an amendment to Mr. Sparks' con- <br />tract as attorney for the Board to compen- <br />sate him for the time he has been devoting <br />to business of the Board. STAPLETON: <br /> <br />"1 50 move." <br /> <br />'"Second the motion." <br /> <br />"I would like to amend that motion to <br />three members of the Committee and have it <br />read to provide Mr. Sparks with the.same <br />compensation since he has devoted full time <br />to the Board at the salary approv~d by the <br />Board. This compensation is to be retro- <br />active to the time he first started devoting <br />full time to the Board." <br />
