<br />. <br /> <br />WOOD LAKE MUTUAL WATER & IRRIGATION CO. - DAM REHABILITATION <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Looking Northeast Across Wood Lake at the New Outlet Tower <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Proiect Descrivtion <br /> <br />This $550,000 project is the replacement of the Wood Lake Dam outlet works including all control <br />structures, installation of a toe drain, raising the existing saddle dam, and construction of a new <br />spillway to pass the 50% Probable Maximum Precipitation Flood. The need for the improvements <br />is a result of the State Engineer's Office dam safety requirements. Construction commenced in <br />September of 1999 and was completed in May of 2000. <br /> <br />Proiect Data <br /> <br />Sponsor: Wood Lake Mutual Water Co. County: Weld Water Source: Cache la Poudre River <br /> <br />Terms of Loan: $458,000 @ 3.75% for 30-years Substantial Completion Date: May 1,2000 <br /> <br />Design Engineer: Smith Geotechnical - Fort Collins, Colorado <br /> <br />Construction Contractor: Barker Construction Company, Inc. - Fort Collins, Colorado <br /> <br />Dam height = 28-ft. Dam length = lOOO-ft. <br />New outlet tower with 28" and 36" gate lifts and stems <br />Spillway length = 450-ft. <br /> <br />.
