The project is scheduled to be completed in June of 2000. e <br /> <br />DNR - Division of Wildlife - Native Aquatic Species Restoration Facility <br />AutIJorization: SB 98-1189 County: Alamosa - W of Alamosa <br />Water Source: San Luis Valley Aquifers Project Yield: N/A <br />Terms of Loan: $2,000,000 Grant Project Type: Aquatic Species Hatchery <br /> <br />This $6,000,000 project is t1Je construction of a Native Aquatic Species Restoration <br />Facility just west of Alamosa. The project is being managed and 60% funded by the Division of <br />Wildlife. FishPro, Inc. of Port Orchard, Washington completed project design and construction <br />contract documents early 1999. The selected facility consists of two hatchery buildings, four <br />outdoor rearing ponds, four shallow wells, two deep wells, a head tank with mixing and cooling <br />equipment, an effluent building, a garage and shop building, and a private residence for the <br />caretaker. The construction contract was awarded to Southwest Contracting, Inc. of Cortez July <br />16, 1999. Construction commenced in August 1999 and is currently 90% complete. The project <br />is scheduled to be completed in June of2000. <br /> <br />Model Land and Reservoir Company - Model Reservoir Dam Rehabilitation <br />Authorization: Emergency Infrastr. Repair Account County: Jefferson - NW of Arvada <br />Water Source: Purgatoire River Project Yield: 6,000 ac.ft. <br />Terms of Loan: $335,000 @3.75% for 30 years Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />In May of 1999 a flood event originating in t1Je local basin overtopped the existing outlet <br />conduit, damaging the outlet gate tower, the dam embankment, and causing downstream property <br />damage. The proposed project to resolve the emergency situation consists of constructing a new <br />outlet tower and conduit, repairing the dam embankment, the construction of a concrete parapet <br />wall, and the installation of water level and discharge recording devices. The final design plans <br />were completed by URS Greiner, Denver, CO, and are currently under [mal review at the State <br />Engineer's Office. The project was awarded to TLM Construction, from Swink, CO, who <br />commenced construction in January 2000. The project is 75% complete and is tentatively <br />scheduled for completion in June of 2000. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Companv - Summit Reservoir and Ditch Svstem Rehab. <br />AutIJorization: SB 97-008 County: Montezuma - NE of Cortez <br />Water Source: Lost Canyon Creek Project Yield: 4,287 ac.ft. <br />Terms of Loan: $200,000 @ 3.75% for 30 years Project Type: Reservoir and Ditch Rehab. <br /> <br />This $270,000 project is the rehabilitation of the Sununit Reservoir Dam outlet works and <br />the construction of repairs and improvements to the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company's <br />water collection and distribution facilities. The Cortez office of the Natural Resource <br />Conservation Service prepared the construction plans and specifications. Construction for the <br />second to the last phase of improvements commenced in March by Noland, Inc. of Mancos, CO. <br />and was completed in July. The final phase of improvements is scheduled for completion in the <br />fall of2000. <br /> <br />e <br />
