CWCB North Fork
7/5/2005
Page 5

applications for existing undecreed water rights and exchanges by December 31, 2005
and to outline the planning activities underway by CWCB, Division Engineer, and
CRWCD to provide for meeting existing and future water needs. Local landowners
will be contacted, through mailings or notices of public meetings. Jeff Crane will
coordinate the effort to interface with local land owners and water users in the North
Fork. Landowners in the Crawford area will be contacted via a public meeting. Don
Meyer of the CRWCD will provide a list of land owners upstream of ISF filings from
plat coverages developed by the county assessors that will be used to identify
potentially affected landowners.

Completion:
Assignment:

September 1
Jeff Crane, CRWCD, Division Engineer, and CWCB

STATUS: Mailing to landowners and public notices were completed before public
meetings held on June 13 in Hotchkiss and June 14 in Crawford. Both meetings
were well attended. Dixie Luke coordinated a subsequent North Fork meeting and
Division Engineer staff have been meeting with water users.

11. Refine the determination of water availability to meet the current and future demands
and how demands are affected by the CWCB ISF filings. CWCB will update the CDSS
with the information on existing depletions gathered as part of this effort. Available
flow will be examined at and upstream of the proposed ISF reaches to determine if the
proposed rights will impact water availability. Projections of future water demands
and depletions for all potential uses will be made and the DSS used to determine if the
proposed ISF filings will impact the ability to meet these future demands directly or
by exchange. This task will be completed by November 2005.

Completion:
Assignment:

October 1
CWCB (LRE)

STATUS: Pending

12.
