basin, the Bonneville Unit. Two substantial
contracts, one for the start of Soldier Creek
Dam which is the enlargement of Strawberry
Reservoir; a second for the beginning of
another 4.9 miles of tunnel which will bring
water from the uinta slopes to connect to the
existing pie~e of tunnel and then to the Straw-
berry Reservoir.

Together these two jobs total about $20
million.

The small Bottle Hollow Dam was finished.
On the Lyman Project, Meeks Cabin Dam has been
substantially finished and work there is going
to be phased out this spring.

Reservoir operations, the water outlook
as of the lst of January is for 102 percent
of normal in the Colorado Basin. This is
comforting, but you shouldn't take this with
any assurance because we have a long ways to
go and the real water harvest months are ahead
of us.

Lake powell, the releases during the past
period have been at the 8.8 million acre-foot
level. In order to bring this up to the full
75 million acre-feet for the ten-year period
that began when the gates were closed at Lake
Powell, during the coming year we will have
to release to the Lower Basin the same amount.

I have here the status of storage in all
of the CRSP reservoirs which, if you like, I
will just provide for your records for those
who are interested."
