OGILVIE:

suggestions are things that we should have been
thinking about years ago, they are well worth-'
while and We know that in some instances it
may cost us a little money to accomplish this.
On the other hand, the community is demanding
it and we are working with them.."

"I wish you luck I "

I

"Any further questions from members of the
Board?"

"I have one quick question. I don't want
to keep you on the hot seat here too long."

"You are not keeping me. I hope the next
speaker realizes that you gentlemen are taking
the time."

"We are taking the time, OK.

I was interested in Si Berthelson's
question about development of ground water.
It is a pretty well known fact that there is
a great opportunity for developing ground
water in the South Platte and recent legisla-
tion allows integrating the ground water and
the surface water supplies. Has the Denver
Water Board done any studies at all on the
possibility of developing ground water and
perhaps releasing water through exchange for
additional storage upstream?"

"I would say a minimum amount. We have
thought of it. We haven't gotten into any
extensive evaluation of water rights and avail-
able sources to determine where the exchange
potential is. ,And taking into account,., probably
the reason why we haven't done too much of
this is that our exchanage possibilities until
we get Two Forks are minimal. When we get Two
Forks then exchange poss~bilities will increase
and the reason being that Two Forks is further
downstream where there is more water available
that could be exchanged.

I
