.

".

drainageways in the community which reflects the effects of a flood control project designed .
and built with CWCB technical assistance, limiting 100-year flooding to streets and alleys. _

5. FPR 99-486: A Flood Insurance Study (FIS), Town of Wellington, Colorado, Larimer
County, revised October 20, 1998, was prepared by FEMA. The study includes detailed
floodplain information for streams in the community. It revises the December 3,1993 study to
show the effects of flood control improvements built by the USDA Soil Conservation Service
in the watershed of Coal Creek not reflected in that earlier study.

6. FPR 99-487: A Floodplain Information Report (FIR) dated February 1999, including a Flood
Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) dated April 1 , 1977, was prepared by CWCB staff for the City of
Cortez in Montezuma County. The study includes revised approximate floodplain information
for several streams in the city. The FIR incorporates the results of updated topographic
mapping and more accurate engineering analyses for the city's 100-year floodplains.

7. FPR 99-488: A Flood Insurance Study (FIS) dated March 23, 1999 was prepared by FEMA
for the City of Loveland. The FIS contains detailed and approximate floodplain information for
flooding sources within the incorporated areas of the community. It revises the 1984 Flood
Insurance Study to incorporate information from an approved Letter of Map Revision (LOMR)
for the Big Thompson River. Floodplain delineations for the Big Thompson River will be
designated as approximate until such time as a FEMA publishing error related to the water
surface elevations can be corrected.

8. FPR 99-489: A Flood Insurance Rate Map dated August 5, 1986 including a new Floodplain
Information Report (FIR) dated February 1999, that was prepared by CWCB staff, for
incorporated portions of the Town of Walden. The maps and report include approximate
floodplain information for two streams in the community.

e

9. FPR 99-490: A Floodplain Information Report (FIR), dated March 1999, including a Flood
Hazard Boundary Map (FHBM) dated February 27,1976, was prepared by the CWCB for the
Town of Kiowa, Elbert County. The study includes approximate floodplain information for
streams in the community. The FIR incorpomtes the results of a previously designated detailed
study for Kiowa Creek and a detailed study on a tributary stream, which was performed by a
private consultant for a new subdivision.

10. FPR 99-491: A Flood Insurance Study (FIS), Larimer County, Colorado, Unincorporated
Areas, revised March 23, 1999, was prepared by FEMA. The study includes approximate and
detailed floodplain information for streams in the county. It revises the July 17,1997 study to
incorporate information from an approved Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) for the Big
Thompson River in and around the City of Loveland and information reflecting the effects of
the USDA Soil Conservation Service flood control project in the watershed of Coal Creek
upstream of the Town of Wellington.

2

e
