Floodplain Designation and Approvals

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Agenda Item 4. a. - k. includes II floodplain studies/maps proposed for CWCB action. A brief
summary of the studies is presented below.

I. FPR 99-479: A Floodplain Information Report (FIR) dated January 1999, including Flood
Hazard Boundary Maps (FHBMs) dated November 22, 1977, was prepared by the CWCB for
Park County (unincorporated areas). The study includes approximate floodplain information for
streams in the county. (previously tabled at January '99 meeting)

2. FPR 99-483: Flood Hazard Boundary Maps (FHBMs) dated June 10, 1977 including a new
Floodplain Information Report (FIR) dated February 1999, that was prepared by CWCB staff,
for unincorporated portions of Gilpin County. The maps and report include approximate
floodplain infonnation for streams in the county.

3. FPR 99-484: A Flood Insurance Study (FIS) dated January 19, 1982 was prepared by FEMA
for the City ofThomton. The FIS contains detailed and approximate floodplain infonnation for
flooding sources within the incorporated areas of the City.

4. FPR 99-485: A Floodplain Information Report (FIR), dated March 1999, including a Flood
Hazard Boundary Map (FHBM) dated August 22, 1975, was prepared by the CWCB for the
Town ofHaxtun, Phillips County. The FIR includes approximate floodplain infonnation for
