MR. KNIGHTS:

"On that basis then, the first item would
be the progress on the Narrows unit investi-
gations and there I think most of you are
aware that the northeastern conservancy dis~
trict was formed at Sterling on the 6th of
May under approval of the District Court,
Judge Shellanberger. Also, it is our under-
standing that the report of the real estate
consultants on the appraisal costs of right-
of-way acquisitions for the Weld County and
Narrows sites has been received by this Board
and I believe we have a copy but to date have
not had time to review that report. It will
be taken into account in our reanalysis of the
two sites, both engineering-wise and from the
standpoint of the rights-?f-way.

On the Cache la poudre Unit, investiga-
tions are going on there as we reported. The
only significant thing not reported in our
letter of May 5th, I believe, was an item I
noticed in the Denver Post last night where
the Northern Colorado Rod and Gun Club had
passed a resolution opposing the project.

There is nothing further to report on the
Trinidad Project directly, other than what was
in our letter. We are actively winding up
that report and expect to have it completed in
the very near future, prior to the end of this
fiscal year; June 30th in any event.

Nothing subsequent to our report of May
5th on the Upper South Platte Unit. Progress
there is going along, most all of it in the
Chief Engineer's office. There is no field
work as that has been largely completed.

I think on the Fryingpan-Arkansas Project,
it is completely covered in this written re-
port here and I won't go into that. Progress
is good over there. I can just add that much.
Construction is about to get under way on the
offices at Meredith as soon as they clear some
right-of-way questions. We will be opening
