KEATING: <br /> <br />..JOQ..L <br /> <br />"It isn't a resolution, Mr. Stapleton." <br /> <br />"Read the minutes then." <br /> <br />"This is from the official minutes of <br />the Board meeting of June 5, 1958: <br /> <br />'Mr. Nelson distributed copies of the <br />following which he read to the members: <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br /> <br />Attached is a list of priorities for <br />study and planning potential participating <br />irrigation projects of the Colorado River <br />storage Project. <br /> <br />Adoption of this list would result in <br />altering a list approved for priorities in <br />1954. <br /> <br />Since that time, Woody Creek Project <br />was removed from the storage project list of <br />participating units to be giveh priority for <br />study by the Bureau of Reclamation under pro- <br />visions of the act authorizing the storage <br />project. <br /> <br />A study made by the Colorado River Water <br />Conservation District staff revealed Eagle <br />Divide, Ohio Creek, and Grand Mesa Projects <br />should have lower priorities. <br /> <br />This list should be the guide for alloca- <br />tion of money appropriated by the Colorado <br />General As~embly to speed study of projectS. <br />The priority would also help guide actions <br />through the authorization stages involvin~ <br />making definite plan reports. <br /> <br />Circumstances may require alteration of <br />the list. <br /> <br />Several factors were take~ into consider- <br />ation in making this list, including local <br />interest, economic importance, and benefit- <br />
