at this time, I have John Sherman, a Craig
rancher here with me, who is informed on the
Great Northern and he would like to say some-
thing about the Great Northern in connection
with the Juniper, if you'd care to hear from
him at this time."

"I would be very happy to; but, if you
don't mind, let's get comments from the Board
first and then we would be very happy to hear
from Mr. Sherman or anyone else on this prior-
ity schedule."

"As I recall, in the action taken in '56
we gave #1 priority to Juniper for the Yampa
Valley and this would continue that priority
if we take the list as Mr. Sparks proposed it -
it would still have ~a priority in that area."

"Mr. Chairman, my memory is not too good
I'll admit, but it runs through my mind that
that was in 1958. It also runs through my
mind that that priority list established at
that time was for reconnaissance studies.
That's why I asked the question of Mr. Sparks
when we started discussing this item. Now we
are talking ~bout priority of feasibility
studies. There might be some confusion con-
cerning as to whether or not we are talking
about reconnaissance studies or feasibility
studies."

"Fred, would you be kind enough to go up
and get the official minute books for '56, '57,
and '58? I think I have it marked with a
yellow slip of paper; I can find it very
quickly. "
