Ted tells me, I haven't counted them myself,
there are 2095 signatures. These are just
the voters. We know we don't have a very
heavy population over there and we have a lot
of kids. No kid has signed this document;
only voters have signed it. I want to present
these to the Board. This petition reads as
follows:

'To Honorable Wayne N. Aspinall, Congress-
man Fourth congressional District, Chairman
House Interior and Insular Affairs and/or
The Members of the Colorado Water Conservation
Board: we the undersigned residents of the
great Yampa River Basin respectfully request
and urge that you insist that the Bureau of
Reclamation proceed at once with a feasibility
investigation of the so-called "Initial Develop-
ment" of the Juniper Mountain project without
further delay. ~'le have faith that you will
insist upon prompt action by the Reclamation
Bureau. We feel that we should have use of
our river drainage water before it goes down
into the Lower Basin states and this would be
made possible by the construction of the
Juniper Mountain Reclamation Project.'

As I say, there are 2095 signers. What
we would like to do, we only have one copy of
these signatures, is deliver these petitions
to this Board now and after you have finished
with them, have you transmit them by mail to
Congressman wayne Aspinall for his considera-
tion.

I think that I have covered most of the
matters. If there are any questions, I'd be
glad to try and answer them. Can you think
of anything, Ted, that should be covered?"
