Conduct interviews with persons knowledgeable in Colorado water supply issues to discuss <br />the scope of the study. <br /> <br />1 c. Establish a public information process to include newsletters, public meetings, surveys, <br />interviews, news releases, an Internet informational site and any other activities that would <br />facilitate public awareness of the study process. <br /> <br />Id. Document all activities uudertaken in this task. <br /> <br />Task 2 - Data Collection and Review <br /> <br />Conduct an extensive data collection effort to obtain and document information that is currently <br />available and would be of use in the conduct of the study. Data collection will include studies <br />currently in progress to the extent that such information might be made available for this study. <br /> <br />2a. Review studies, reports or other available data for use in the study. Sources of information <br />include but are not limited to: the Water Resources Information Center of the CWCB, the library <br />of the Colorado Water Resources & Power Development Authority and the library of Colorado <br />State University. <br /> <br />2b. Prepare a bibliography of all data collected. <br /> <br />Task 3 - Final Scoping Activities <br /> <br />The CWCB staff and the study consultants will review the Scope of Work and make any needed <br />revisions following initial public meetings and meetings with the study advisory group(s) before <br />beginning work on Tasks 4 through 16. Revisions are not expected to result in changes in the overall <br />level of effort or in the study budget. <br />3a. Review tile Scope of Work and make needed revisions. <br /> <br />Task 4 Overview of the Physical Environment <br /> <br />Prepare an overview of Colorado's physical environment by way ofbackgrouud information for use <br />in later work tasks. More detailed information on certain aspects of the physical environment will be <br />developed for each of tile state's major river basins in Task 7. <br /> <br />4a. Prepare an overview of Colorado's physical environment to include the following: <br /> <br />Climate <br /> <br />Topography <br /> <br />Water resources - surface water and grouudwater <br /> <br />Drought characteristics <br /> <br />Geology <br /> <br />Flood Protection. Water Project Planning and Financing. Stream and Lake Protection <br />Water Supply Protection. Conservation PlaMing <br />
