Implement the Board's statutory authorities <br />. Identifying streams and lakes that would benefit from a Board held water right <br />. Quantifying the amount of water needed to protect the environment <br />. Filing for new water right appropriations <br />. Acquiring water rights via donation, lease, and purchase to preserve or improve <br />the natural environment <br />. Protect the Board's existing water right assets <br />. Prioritize the Section's work plans to coincide more closely with Statewide Water <br />Supply Initiative (SWSI)-related plans and information <br />. Explore and promote opportunities to use the program to provide regulatory <br />stability to help water suppliers meet permitting needs <br />. Support and maintain regulatory stability with the Section's base programs and <br />program applications <br />. Support and implement the "conserve, protect and restore (or CPR)" framework <br />identified in SWSI <br />. Support the State's river restoration efforts <br />. Support the State's Native Species programs <br /> <br />. Promote the Use of Storal!e for Instream Flows - Identify and encourage state <br /> <br />agencies and water providers to amend storage decrees to add instream flows to <br /> <br />the potential uses of their water rights <br /> <br />9 <br />
