WHEREAS, the U. S. Corps of Engineers, Omaha District,

has completed the Flood Plain Information Report, Boulder Creek

and South Boulder Creek, Volume II, Boulder Metropolitan Region,

Colorado; and

WHEREAS, said Flood Plain Information Report outlines

and describes the storm or flood runoff channels within the above

described areas; and

WHEREAS, Article l49-l-ll(4), Colorado Revised Statutes

1963, requires that the Colorado Water Conservation Board designate

and approve storm or flood water runoff channels and to make such

designations to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and

WHEREAS, Article 139-60-l, Colorado Revised Statutes

1963, provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and

local jurisdictions shall provide zoning regulations for any storm

or flood water runoff channel only after designation and approval

by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and

WHEREAS, the Denver Regional Council of Governments has

requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and
