With the 6.7 prOjection we expect this to
rise from its present elevation which is just
a foot above rated head up to elevation 3592
which is another 21 feet and up to a little
over 11 million acre-feet. So it's about 46
percent of its capacity.

Next is Flaming Gorge. The reservoir will
rise as we get the spring inflow and then it
will subside again and will go back and forth
without getting much more in capacity unless we
get some unusual storms.

I

Next is Fontenelle Reservoir. Fontenelle
because of its limited capacity will have to
bypass with the forecast. The small powerplant
there cannot accommodate it nor do we have
enough storage to hold all the spring inflow.
At Fontenelle we did something for the first
time that I would expect to be of interest to
Colorado people. We have developed a set of
detailed operating rules for the reservoir.
These rules Were developed in full consultation
with the fish and game interests, the recrea-
tional interests, with everyone who had a concern
and interest to get the best plans of all con-
cerned and all the factors that relate to the
operation of one of the significant impoundments.
We intend to do this for all of our major stor-
age project reservoirs so that there will be no
surprises and we will be able to incorporate
the best judgment of everybody as to how to
maximize and optimize for all the public of all
the project values. It is surprising how much
you can do without impairing project purposes
if you just know what is desired.

Next is Blue Mesa with prime recreation
and water impoundment to colorado. We drew
Morrow Point down for a grouting program and
have refilled it with water out of Blue Mesa.
We expect that Blue Mesa will fill this year.
This again shows you the proportion of water
in the reservoir. The red is the amount of
the expected season. You can see the numbers
there, the quantities there, I am sure.

I

\.,
