Advisory Committee are here for questions from
you and so is IvaI Goslin from the Upper Colorado
River Commission. IvaI, would you like to say
anything at this point?"

"Mr. Chairman, I don't believe I need to add
anything to Larry's statement or Bob Fischer's.
I will say that all four Governors of the Upper
Division states have signed a joint and common
letter and it has been transmitted to the Secre-
tary of the Interior with a copy of this document
that you have before you."

"Thank you.

What is the next step in the procedure in
this? What happens if we approve it?"

"1 would inform the members of our con-
gressional delegation and the Governor that
this document represents the position of the
State Water Board. I suggest that we consider
approving the 'Comments and Recommendations of
Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming' as they
have been presented to the Board here today and
adopt them as the official position of the State
Water Board."

"Will there be meetings in Washington with
the Secretary? What happens next?"

"Yes. GOVernor Love indicated at the meet-
ing Friday that he would very much like to get
together with representatives from other states
and engage in some personal conferences with
the Secretary concerning the operating princi-
ples."

ating with you on behalf of the state. Are
