Vivian, Chairman of the Board, not being II'esent, the meeting was oalled to order by Vice-Chairman Chris Wallrioh at 10r.20 a.m. William W. Gaunt and Glenn G. Saunders representing proponents of the Blue-South Platte Diversion appeared before the Board and asked for assistanoe in making certain studies in the area to whioh it is proposed to import water from the Colorado River Basin for irrigll.tion and domestio uses. It was explain- ed by the Direotor that a meeting was planned to disouss the work to be per- formed by the Board but that until oertain interstate litigation had been further disposed of, it would be impossible to devote time to this 'work. It was agreed by the members of ~~e Board that a performanoe of suoh work by the engineering staff of the Colorado ~ter Conservation Boord oonsti tuted a proper funotion of the Board. Thereupon the minutes of the meeting of the Colorado water Conservation Board, held May 10-11, 1943 were read, and after oonsideration thereof it was moved by Mr. Bailey and seoonded by Mr. Nelson that the minutes of the meeting of May 10-11, 1943 be approved as read. The motion was unanimously oarried and declared passed. The Direotor then su1:mitted for the oonsideration of the Board the proposed budget for the ensuing year, a oopy of whioh was distributed to the Board. A review of the proposed budget involved the item "Contraotual Servioes," involving a oontraot with the United States Geological Survey for the install- ation, operation, and maintenanoe of gaging stationg for the purpose of maki,ng
