City of Green Ridge Glade Reservoir Rehabilitation <br />Authorization: HB 98-1189 County: Larimer - W. of Loveland <br />Water Source: Big Thompson River Project Yield: 6,000 acre feet <br />Terms of Loan: $5,000,000 @4.75% for 10 yrs.Project Type: Dam enlargement <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />This $19.2 million project is the enlargement ofthe Green Ridge Glade Reservoir northwest of Loveland. The <br />project consists of raising the crest of the existing dam approximately 60 feet, construction of a new concrete <br />labyrinth weir spillway, and new multi-level intake gate tower outlet structure. The City has contracted with <br />Woodward-Clyde of Denver to prepare the final design and construction contract documents. Environmental <br />studies have been complete and the City has secured all the necessary permits to construct the project. SEMA <br />Construction was awarded the bid in January of2003 and is currently 35% complete with the work. The project is <br />anticipated to be complete by October of 2004. <br /> <br />25. Parker Water and Sanitation District <br />Authorization: Construction Fund <br />Water Source: Cherry Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $15,000,000 @4.75%for20-years <br /> <br />County: Douglas <br />Project Yield: 16,200 acre-feet <br />Project Type: Reservoir Construction <br /> <br />The Parker Water and Sanitation District is currently in the design phase to construct the Rueter Hess Project for <br />the storage of municipal water for its 7,924 customers. The neW reservoir will provide terminal storage for use <br />within the District's existing 8,596-acre service area. The reservoir will be located 3 miles southwest of Parker on <br />Newlin Gulch. The proposed reservoir will be a Class I structure, 135 feet high, impounding approximately 16,200 <br />acre-feet of water. GEl Consultants, Denver, Colorado, will be putting together the final design and construction <br />documents. The project is tentatively scheduled to go to construction winter/spring of 2004. <br /> <br />26. .Mancos Water Conservancv District - Canal Rehabilitation <br />Authorization: Severance Tax Perpetual Account County: Montezuma <br />Water Source: West Mancos River Project Yield: 9,000 acre-feet <br />Terms of Loan: $5,486,531 @2.80%for30-years Project Type: Canal Rehabilitation <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Mancos Water Conservancy District supplies irrigation and municipal water within a 13,496 acre service area. <br />The District's carriage facility is over 50-years old and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has recommended <br />rehabilitation ofthe inlet and outlet canals. The proposed project is to rehabilitate inlet and outlet canals to the <br />Jackson Gulch Reservoir and to replace its operational shops and headquarters. Design engineering is scheduled to <br />be complete in 2003 with construction to follow in 2004. The District anticipates having the entire project <br />complete by 2014. <br /> <br />Projects Under Design <br /> <br />I. Rvan Gulch Reservoir Comvany <br />Authorization: SB 99-173 <br />Water Source: Big Thompson River <br />Terms of Loan: $317,500 @4.25%for30years <br /> <br />Rvan Gulch Dam Rehabilitation <br />County: Larimer - S. of Loveland <br />Project,Yield: 645 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project is the rehabilitation of the Ryan Gulch Dam that inoludes the construction ofa new spillway, lining the <br />upstream face of the dam with a clay liner, sleeving the existing 24-inch outlet pipe, and constructing a new <br />upstream controlled inlet works. Boyle Engineering, Inc. of Denver has completed the final design plans, which <br />has been reviewed and approved by the State Engineer's Office. Bids were received to construct the planned <br />improvements, but were outside the project budget. The Ditch Company is currently obtaining a new design <br />engineer to redesign certain aspects of the project in an attempt to reduce the overall cost ofthe job. The project is <br />currently on-hold pending the outcome of the Ditch Company's redesign of the reservoir. <br /> <br />2.
