MR. STAPLETON:

MR. BERTHELSON:

MR. STAPLETON:

MR. R.B.WILLIAMS:

MR. STAPLETON:

MR. MOSES:

"It has been regularly moved . . .

"

"r second."

"And seconded, that the resolution in the
form prepared by the staff be approved. Any
discussion?"

1

"Question. "

"All those in favor of the motion will
signify by saying 'aye': those opposed by
negative sign - the motion is carried un-
animously. (Resolution attached as Appendix
A).

Let's try one more item before we go to
lunch. We'll have the attorney's report."

"The attorney's report is in your folders.
I won't read it. I will highlight the fact
the Western States Water Council adopted a
resolution very similar to the one the Board
just adopted and that was forwarded to the
hearings on Monday. The Council also proposes
to make a more detailed presentation at
regional hearings which I understand the Water
Resources Council will hold in the west in
order to get further documentation of the
need for better projection of benefits to
make up for the additional burden of the
higher discount rate.

Governor Love has appointed Mr. Ten Eyck
to fill Mr. Eckles' place on the Western
States Water Council. I am sure we are going
to enjoy his participation in Western States
Water Council's matters. I attended a meet-
ing of the council at Anaheim (we don't call
it Disneyland because that doesn't sound I
very dignified) the first part of December
and the next meeting of the full council will
be held in Lubbock, Texas, in March. There
is a meeting today in Las Vegas of the Water
Resources committee, working on some special
problems of the council.
