The Needs Assessment <br />would provide the CWCB staff, CWCB Board members and other interested parties the <br />necessary information regarding the appropriation, acquisition and monitoring of Colorado's <br />instream flows. While the grant partners will perform a portion of the Needs Assessment, much <br />of the work will be completed by consultants. One reason for partnering with DOW and TU is <br />that GOCO prefers to support projects where multiple agencies and/or non-profit organizations <br />are involved. In addition, the CWCB is not an authorized recipient of GOCO funds. <br />Specifically, local governments municipalities, counties, park and recreation special districts, <br />Colorado State Parks, Colorado Division of Wildlife, and non-profit land conservation <br />organizations are eligible recipients, <br /> <br />The proposed Needs Assessment will consist of two major components. First, biologic, <br />hydrologic and.socio-economic data for Colorado's streams would be compiled and arranged in a <br />graphical format (i.e. GIS) for analysis. All of the data used for this assessment will be existing <br />data taken from various entities including the Colorado Division of Wildlife, CWCB, and other <br />state, federal and local governments.
