<br />,J.r' ~ <br /> <br />Mr. Dutcher: "We recommend that the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board appoint a Committee consisting of:five disinterested <br />citizens highly respected in their communities and who.will I <br />approach th~ problem in a diplomatic and conciliatory frame <br />of mind, who will make recommendations relative to the Denver- <br />West Slope controversy at a very early date, to the :Board. <br />This Committee is to be selected as follows: , <br /> <br />"(a) Two by the Denver Water Board from citizens <br />of Denver who have a wide acquaintance with <br />Western Colorado people?,. <br /> <br />~(b) Two from Western Colorado who will be <br />recommended by the Colorado River Water <br />Conservation District and approved by <br />the Western Slope members of the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board, and who have a <br />wide acquaintance in Eastern Colorado; <br /> <br />".h:) These four shall meet and select a fifth <br />member from any portion of the State. <br /> <br />"Selection for membership on the Committee shall be'made known <br />to the Director of the Colorado Water Conservation Board by <br />West Slope and Denver members of the Board, and who shall <br />assist in every manner possible, and the Committee shall make, <br />some kind of a progress report to the Water Conservation <br />Board at its reconvened meeting, January 14, 1954." <br /> <br />Mr. Beaty: "1 move that the report be adopted." <br /> <br />Mr. Roberts: "1 second the motion." <br /> <br />MOTION UPON VOTE WAS CARRIED. <br /> <br />Mr. Bailey: "Does anyone have any questions?" <br /> <br />Mr. Beaty: "When are those members to be appointed?" <br />Mr. Dutcher: "Immediliately." <br /> <br />Mr. Moses: "Our thought was the type of people selected would <br />realize the importance of this task." <br /> <br />I <br />
