Stringham and Mabey <br /> <br />A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION OF THE FIRST SPECIAL SESSION OF <br />THE THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF UTAH, THE <br />GOVERNOR CONCURRING THEREIN, REAFFIRMINGS. J. R. NO.IO <br />OF THE THIRTIETH LEGISLATURE MEMORIALIZING THE <br />CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICAi: TO PROCEED <br />WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COLORADO RIVER IN THE <br />UPPER BASIN STATES BY AUTHORIZING THE COLORADO RIVER <br />STORAGE PROJECT AND PARTICIPATING PROJECTS. <br /> <br />'Be it resolved by the Legislature of the State of Utah, <br />the Governor concurring therein: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Thirtieth Legislature of the. State of <br />Utah passed on March 9, 1953, Senate Joint Resolution' <br />No.lO,'and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Congress of the United State of America <br />has still taken no action, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the development of the Colorado river in the <br />upper basin states, consisting of Arizona, Colorado, <br />New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming, is of foremost importance <br />, to the future development and general welfare of said <br />states and of the western United States, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the allocation of the waters of the Colorado <br />river apportioned to the upper basin by the Colorado <br />river compact has been amicably settled'by and between <br />the above states, and ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the upper Colorado river compact commission, <br />comprising one member e~ch from the states of Colorado, <br />New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming and the federal government <br />is a functioning body and has already completed a dynamic <br />plan for the development of the project, 'and <br /> <br />.:L.....;; <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />
