agenda and act this morning in order that I might report
over the lunch hour to the Conference Committee.
First of all, Senate Bill 67, which is the bill

that will authorize for construction the Board projects,

has had amendments made to it, in part at my instigation

in the absence of being able to have a Board meeting for

some projects that carne up that were in the nature of an

emergency sort of situation.

They have been added to the bill but the Conference

Committee would like this Board's formal reaction to those

items.

Secondly, one or two things have been added entirely

at the volition of the legislature in the course of

making committee or floor amendments. They also would

like informal Board reaction to that this morning.

And then thirdly, the memorandum which is in your

folder, as well as the one that was mailed to you

earlier, also in your folder, addressing the question of

whether or not there are additional projects which the

Board might want to authorize in light of the fact that

legislature, having appropriated $40 million to the

construction fund next year, has created a temporary one-

year situation in which we have monies that are in excess

of the projects which we presently have scheduled for

construction.
