I do represent the Henry Lyn Irrigation <br /> <br />District, and with me this morning is Charlie Starks, <br /> <br />the president of the district. <br />We were out there yesterday and we have a crew <br /> <br />going. This is an emergency and we are taking some <br /> <br />chances, as was very well outlined by the director of <br />the Water Conservation Board. <br /> <br /> <br />A bond issue has been authorized and passed. The <br /> <br /> <br />terms are agreeable to the district and it is anxious to <br /> <br /> <br />complete whatever is necessary. It's my understanding <br /> <br /> <br />that the -- the Conference Committee has recessed to have <br /> <br />a report from this Board, and if the conditional approval <br /> <br /> <br />is made in accordance with the presentation made by <br /> <br /> <br />Director McDonald, the legislature will act on it. <br /> <br />I'd like to express my appreciation, that of the <br /> <br /> <br />district and that of Mr. Starks for the help which has <br /> <br /> <br />been given from the immediate notification to the State <br /> <br /> <br />Engineer's office and the district through its secretary- <br /> <br /> <br />treasure r'. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Lawrence Gerkin has been in daily contact with the <br /> <br /> <br />State agencies and with the engineering firm.
