Approximately 70 people attended . <br />the Grand Junction meeting and 35 were in attendance in Frisco. <br /> <br />To date, the. primary work activity has focuse4 on the identification and analysis of potential <br />alignments within the North, Central, and Southern Corridors since this task is on the critical path to <br />complete the Study by November 15,2003 (see Task 7 below). <br /> <br />Presented below are brief summaries of work accomplished on each of the study tasks: <br /> <br />Initial Work Tasks <br /> <br />Task 1 - Data Collection and Review - Th~ primary activity has been the collection and <br />organization of map data for use in alignment studies. Pertinent reports are being obtained <br />from various sources for review and input intp a project bibliography. Several parties have <br />provided data on Grand Valley water development concepts in response to the public <br />meetings. . <br /> <br />Task 2 - Compilation of Water Demand Studies on the Arkansas. South Platte and Colorado <br />River Mainstem - Activity limited to identifying sources of information. <br /> <br />Task 3 - Final Scoping Activities - no activity <br /> <br />Colorado River Main-Stem Backllround Information <br /> <br />Task 4 - Overview of the Phvsical Environment - pertinent reference data is being identified. <br /> <br />Task 5 - Institutional Setting: - pertinent reference data is being identified. <br /> <br />Alternatives and Stratellies <br /> <br />Task 6 - Overview of Water Supplv Alternatives to the CRRP - pertinent reference data is <br />being identified. <br /> <br />Task 7 - Formulation ofProiect Configurations - map data has been assembled and is being <br />used to define potential conveyance alignments within each of the three corridors. Several <br />site visits have been conducted to assess critical areas in the Central and South corridors. <br />Programming for route assessments and 1).ydraulic computations is underway. Initial <br />alternatives, river diversion options and fhrebays have been identified and are being <br />analyzed. <br /> <br />Task 8 - Evaluation ofProiect Configuration~ - work is beginning <br /> <br />Task 9 - Documentation and Justification of Selected Configuration( s) - no activity <br /> <br />Task 10 - Proiect Development Strategies - no activity <br /> <br />Documentation <br /> <br />Task 11 -Studv Documentation - detailed outline for Final Report is being developed. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />: <br />Since the project has only recently commenc'ed, there are not significant progress milestones . <br />to report.
