<br />WHEREAS, the Board and the Colorado Water Resource and Power Development Authority, <br />have existing financial assistance programs that may be used to loan a portion of the necessary <br />non-federal funding for the Arkansas Valley Conduit. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board that it does hereby support and encourage prompt passage of S. 1058 and H.R. 2102 <br />to provide the 750/0 nonreimbursable federal cost-share assistance necessary to construct <br />the Arkansas Valley Conduit so that the communities of the Lower Arkansas River Basin <br />will receive domestic water supplies of sufficient quantity and quality to assure their future <br />health, welfare, and economic prosperity. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board expresses its appreciation to Senators <br />Campbell and Allard, and to Reps. Musgrave, Beauprez, McInnis, and Cannon for <br />sponsoring and co-sponsoring this legislation to assist the citizens if the Lower Arkansas <br />Valley. <br /> <br />Adopted by unanimous acclamation of the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board meeting in public session this 21st day of November, 2003 in Denver, <br />Colorado: <br /> <br />By Rod Kuharich, Director <br />
