<br />OtJl <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> <br />1. The Colorado Water Conservation Board under the <br />powers granted it by legislature of the State of Colorado, <br />exercise its function in compiling, collating and correl- <br />ating all available information relative to underground <br />water in Colorado and its problems in the fields of <br />engineering, geology, economics, law and administration. <br /> <br />2. That the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />request the General Assembly of the State of Colorado for <br />an appropriation of $50,000.00 for the following purposes: <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />a. To make a study of underground water <br />situation and the related engineering, economic, <br />geological, legal and administrative problems; <br /> <br />b. To review the laws and experiences of other <br />western states on underground water field; <br /> <br />c. To consult with competent legal, engineering, <br />geological and economic authorities on under- <br />ground water problems; <br /> <br />d. To'seek the cooperation of all public and <br />private agencies on the underground water problems; <br /> <br />e. To prepare and publish a report of its investi- <br />gation and study; <br /> <br />f. To hold hearings on said report and proposed <br />code; <br /> <br />g. To draft an underground water code for the <br />State of Colorado to be recommended to the <br />Colorado State Legislature. <br /> <br />3. That the Colorado Water Conservation Board propose <br />the creation of an interim committee of the Colorado <br />Legislature for the study of underground water problems. <br /> <br />4. That the Colorado Water Conservation Board be <br />empowered to employ such professional services or agencies <br />as it deems necessary to make said survey and submit the <br />results of said survey together with proposed legislation <br />to the interim committee of the Colorado Legislature on or <br />before June 1, 1957. <br /> <br />I <br />
