<br />Members, ewCB <br />May 24, 1982 <br />Page two <br /> <br />The staff feels that the final revised model regulations are <br />necessitated by changes in federal laws, rules, and regulations. <br />Deviations from the FEMA model regulations are fully justified by <br />circumstances unique to Colorado. The revised model regulations <br />are also responsive to the needs of local government. In this <br />regard, we feel that all comments on the draft have been fully <br />taken into account in preparing the final revised model regula- <br />tions. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />I recommend that the Board adopt the final revised model <br />floOdplain regulations developed by the staff (copy attached), <br />which revised model regulations will supersede the model <br />regulations now in effect. <br /> <br />JWM/gI <br /> <br />Attachments: as stated (3) <br />
