HOLLAND &HART

Mr. Nick Ioannides
May 26, 1982
Page Two

2. Boss Lake Junior right - we anticipate filing for
a new storage right but want to study how much water
this will produce.

3. Fryingpan-Arkansas project water - the Upper
Arkansas District will have a large share or all of
over 3200 acre feet of Project water. The study will
analyze the exchange of this water with Boss Lake.

4. Other water rights and exchanges - the District
presently owns some Twin Lakes water and entities
within the District own numerous water rights. The
study will analyze these rights as potential sources
for Boss Lake.

The District believes that there will be no shortage of
water but that the problem is the lack of a storage facility
to allow efficient management of water. However, at the
urging of the Board and its staff, the water supply question
has been included within the feasibility study.

please let me know if you have further questions.

Very truly yours,

~

Charles M. Elliott
for Holland & Hart

CME/gmw
