. 7 Town ofKremmling - R~w WHler SlIpply Sy<tem

Authorization: Construction Fund
Water Source: Colorado River
Terms of Loan: $1,689,750 @4.25% for 30-years

County: Grand
Project Yield: 400 acre-feet
Project Type: Raw Water Supply

This $1,616,320 project involves the construction of a raw water supply pipeline from the
Colorado River to the Jones No. 2 Reservoir. The pipeline project will allow the Town of
Kremmling to access their conditional 3 cfs flow right out of the Colorado River, which will be
stored at Jones No.2 Reservoir and used to augment the towns current water supply. The project
involves the construction of 12,000 feet of pipe, low and high lift pump stations, and low and high
lift forcemains. The project was bid in the winter of 2004, and was awarded to Duckels
Construction, Steamboat, Colorado. The project is currently under construction and is
approximately 65% complete_ The Contractor encountered complications with the bore site under
the existing railroad tracks to the river, which required a new bore. The new bore has been
completed successfully and 95% of the 12-inch pipe has been installed. Counections to the pump
and treatment plant remain, as well as the construction of the pump house. The proj ect is
anticipated to be complete by September of2005.

R Springrl~le Dikh romr~ny- Well AlIe;rnent"tinn Prfljed

.

Authorization: Construction Fund
Water Source: South Platte Basin
Terms of Loan: $135,000 @2.75% for 30-years

County: Logan - Near Sterling
Project Yield: 10,647 acre-feet
Project Type: Well Augmentation

The Springdale Ditch Company operates the Springdale Ditch for the delivery of irrigation
water within a 4,490-acre service area. The headgate for the ditch is located in Logan County 6
'miles southwest of Sterling. The project ill.volves the corntructiOn_oLaugmentation ponds and
., ,drilling one augmentation well and 2 recharge-wells to generate credits to cover depletions from 43
irrigation wells used by Stockholders of the Company. The project engineer is Brent Nation with
Nation Engineering Services, Fort Morgan, Colorado. The project is currently under construction
and is anticipated to be complete by August of2005.

Q Town nfNp.w r~~tlp. - W;:'Itf':T Tr;:'ln~mi~~;nn ~YRtf':m

Authorization: Construction Fund
Water Source: Colorado River
Terms of Loan: $700,000 @4.50%for30-years

County: Garfield
Project Yield: 400 acre-feet
Project Type: System Rehabilitation

The Town of New Castle is applying for a loan to construct a new diversion structure and
pump station on the Colorado River, and a raw water pipeline to the Town's existing water
treatment facility. Currently the Town's sole source of water supply is a diversion structure on
East Elk Creek, about 3 miles north of town. The Town's water supply is vulnerable to
downstream senior w'lter calls, as well as potential water quality problems due to sediment and ash
runoff from forest fire hazard, as was experienced in 2002. The proposed project is to construct a
small diversion structure on the Colorado River, with gravity flow to a pump station on the south
side ofI-70. From there water would be pumped to a sedimentation pond on the north side ofI-70,
and a second pump station would be used to lift the water to the treatment plant, an elevation
increase of about 250 vertical feet. A 12" PVC waterline, 8750 feet in length, would be constructed
