is going to be required within the next three
weeks and we had contemplate~ to have a more
complete resolution pinpointing the entire
study program in the danger areas with their
priorities in that. In this resolution we
have merely a request for money. But I think
we could spell out in some detail exactly what
you are talking about in a resolution directed
to the communities themselves, for the various
municipal areas in the state."

"That's fine and I'd be glad to do that
but I can recall in my youth, in Bear Creek,
about every other summer we had a cloudburst
in late July or early August and I'd be very
embarassed if, between now and our regular
meeting, we had a cloudburst and everybody
said we were preparing a resolution~ I think
it is of substantial danger and I think every-
body in the Corps of Engineers and in the
Bureau of Reclamation that I have talked to,
and they can now speak or forever hold their
peace, believe that it does have some sub-
stantial potential danger to that very popu-
lated area of Denver.

It doesn't have to be elaborate. I would
like to press people here who are interested
in it to embellish it because I think we have
a duty to warn and call attention but we can
write a much better resolution. If we can
call to the attention of the people of Colo-
rado that just because they didn't get hit
this time it doesn't mean they are immune,
this will give a lot of impetus to the programs
that we want to develop in the State of Colo~
rado. I would leave it strictly to Mr. Moses'
good judgment and language. I wouldn't re-
quire him to write it in five minutes, thirty
minutes will do~ I'd be willing to m~ce some
statements like that if that's all right with
you, Felix."

I would like to include in this motion the
$30,000 that ~tr. Dugan has mentioned to Region
